Why is it that blood in your extremities is light red and smells like iron, while blood deep near your organs is almost black and smells awful? I heard that oxygenation is a factor but what are the other factors?
May 4, 2024 13:54 Because of the hemoglobin in our body it containd iron and the iron reacts to oxygen as why it gives our blood a red color. |
May 4, 2024 14:47 I feel like this topic is a veiled attempt to get us to ask you what it was like when you got stabbed in the alley that one time. |
May 4, 2024 19:01 Because the blood near your organs takes longer to come near the surface, the blood in your hands feet neck etc will leave faster hence travels faster so fresher in a sence |

But why is the smell so different?? It can’t just be a lack of oxygen that makes it smell bad right? |
