I dislike the idea of long-distance dating to a strong degree.

Having done it twice, we'd have to mesh extremely well together for me to agree to it a third time.

Long-distance relationships require a lot of work. Both people have to be on the same page with time commitments, visitation, etc. I think it is more likely to work out if you and your partner were already in an established relationship. You're more likely to put effort into the relationship if you've already seen evidence of a future with that person. But long-distance from the very beginning...that can be a recipe for disaster.

The greater the distance the more time it eats away. Such things require a plan of attack, in order for it to work there must be an end goal of coming together and not just letting it go on and on until someone gives up.

The one thing all r'ships require which many do not commit to, is commitment itself.
