99% of the movies that exist today don't really possess any ability with its content to offend or disturb me. However; every once in a while one will come along that really pushes the envelope and attempts to stretch my tolerance capacity. What are 5 of the movies that you've seen that really disturbed you or at least made it challenging to watch until the end? for me it is 1)A Serbian Film. 2)August Underground's Mordum. 3)Slaughtered Vomit Dolls. 4)Snuff 102. and 5)The Human Centipede 2.

Deleted User Jan 16, 2020 07:28 House that Jack built is pretty funny. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be dark humour or unintentional. |

Deleted User Jan 16, 2020 07:31 The great ecstasy of Robert Carmichael was fairly unpleasant and eden lake had a fairly bitter taste by the end, no redeeming features. More on the grim side rather than grotesque. |

Deleted User Jan 16, 2020 13:46 The voices is great, but I told a guy at work it's a comedy maybe even a bit of a rom-com and when he watched it he thought it was too dark like "I thought you said it was a comedy". I cant tell if he's just not used to that sort of thing or whether I've become too warped to recognize "dark" films. |

Deleted User Jan 16, 2020 15:05 The 2 Nekromantik films deserve a mention, not seen for yeeeeaaars though so might be a little tame by todays standards? |

Deleted User Jan 16, 2020 23:09 Hereditary, and Cannibal Holocaust. |

Deleted User Jan 16, 2020 23:10 The man who produced Cannibal Holocaust even had every actor, that died on screen, sign a waiver to disappear for a year, so that it'd seem like everyone that died in the movie, were dead in real life. |

Deleted User Jan 17, 2020 11:36 I heard the martyrs US remake was garbage and totally missed what the original was going for. Anyone seen this US version? |

Deleted User Jan 17, 2020 18:42 If you're into anime and don't mind subtitles, watch Midori: Shoujo Tsubaki. Thank me later. Probably one of the most f**ked up things I have ever seen which is saying something. It was banned in Japan, which is REALLY saying something. 12 minutes from the original film were cut after the original screening and were never seen again. Once you watch the movie, to think that there was even more acutely messed up stuff is a mind boggler. All copies of the film were burned, and it wasn't until the digital release in 2012 that it really gained widespread attention. It literally just got taken off of YouTube the other month so I wish you luck finding it! shouldn't be too hard. |

Deleted User Jan 17, 2020 18:47 In Cannibal Holocaust, when they kill the turtle, is surely one of the most messed up things of all time in mainstream media. It is 100% authentic as well as the rest of all the animal killings. |

Jan 17, 2020 21:26 Wait, they made a 2nd "human centipede" movie? That's disturbing.... But hey, they made like 8 "Sharknado" movies... |

Deleted User Jan 19, 2020 23:08 I'm not sure in Mother! fits the narrative mould for this thread but by the 3rd act and end of the film I was left with a "what did I just watch" ending. In fact, when it goes crazy later on I was at "what am I watching". |
