Where was Boudicas last battle, one legend is that below a hill between my village and another above me

So I'd live to know, that and what the bronze age man made hill near me was built for, lots of theories around but no one knows really

Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs): which are millisecond-long radio flashes from distant galaxies. The engines powering these bursts have been theorized to be magnetars, colliding neutron stars, black holes, etc. Could be something else entirely. Still under investigation....

Is DB Cooper the guy that hijacked a plane and stole a bunch of money?

Yeah, that's DB Cooper. There's a great doc about him on Netflix. There were a number of hijackers back then, but they mostly wanted to take a plane and go to Cuba to avoid the war. DB is the most famous of them all, for good reasons.

I don't think this is a mystery to everybody but I don't get why people say things they don't mean.
For example:
* "I like that dress" ... but you don't wear dresses like that. It's not your style.
=my friend might say they are being nice but they are not a nice person as they make comments about people behind their back... so why bother saying anything?
*"How are you?" ... the majority of people who ask that question don't care.
A few do care and it can be nice if your answer is great but often it's not and I hate lying by saying "Good. What about you?"(cause thats the answer you're supposed to say) But if I tell them bad they are going to ask why and I don't share that stuff (I know it isn't acceptable to say non of your business) so i have to lie and say Good what about you?
*"I'd love to do that" they say when a boss or other staff member asks them to do something extra.... no they wouldn't love to do that because it's extra work that the person asking them to do it could have done instead of spending time to find another staff member to ask.

Hay: People ask how you're doing because it's polite in comparison to just pretending someone doesn't exist. It's just a social nicety that we are programmed to do within our society.

People say they like a dress for a similar reason. Also, people can do things because they want to be nice, but still gossip and be petty as well. People are nuanced more so than black and white. It's not that they can be nice or mean. It's that they can be nice AND mean. It depends on the person and the situation. This situation is also an example of a social nicety were conditioned into, and likely your friend just wanted to make you feel good in that moment.

On the last one, they're likely being sarcastic and passive aggressive or they really would like to do it.

Personally, I enjoy many of my tasks at work and often do extra work because I enjoy it, it builds up my experience further, helps with my raises and bonuses, and helps me get promotions.

@Ry

Yeah Neon and I watched some of it fairly recently. Still feels like something my buddies and I would have done in college while stoned.

Thank you WalterLuigi. That makes a bit more sense.

Though the last bit when they say "I'd love to do that" is usually followed by (when the staff member who's ask walks off) a complaint about being asked to do more work. And the only way to get a promotion is to go to university to do a degree then apply for another position.
I did say once to a staff member why did you say yes then complain? To which I got a dirty look even tho i wasnt being mean I was confused. So I learnt not to ask questions like that.

I like to go above and beyond my job role but I learnt that some places (I worked agency for years) that if they know you are capable to do extra they will put their work on you then blame you if you can't get your work and their work done. So now I do my job very well and when they ask me to do more I say I'm not qualified to do that sorry.
