This topic has come up quite often throughout the years. From what I remember, as it's a free site and no money is gained from the site at all, it's not feasible for them to create an app.

Also, I've been back for about 48 hours and it seems quiet. So not sure what the point of an app would be at this stage. Maybe if one had been created 2-3 years ago it would have been different.

It won’t happen. Costs too much money to build and up keep and the site doesn’t generate enough income to justify it.

I'd rather the site stay as it is rather than it becoming a pay to use site if all that was implemented.
I like someone I'll ask where abouts they are in the county.
The mobile version works fine for me and is easier to use than ok cupid for example.

I`m hard-wired cos I don`t like Wi-fi frying my brains, I`ve disabled wi-fi in my router so as to avoid the harmful frequencies, so I much prefer sites and applications that will run on a desktop, with a full-sized keypad, rather than constantly running my phone battery flat, whilst fiddling about on a daft little screen, with stupid predictive text. So even if there was an Altscene app, I for one wouldn`t bother with it.

You only get access to the app (priority photo, notifications, proximity etc) with the deluxe package. That option needs to be selected when initially creating your profile.

I don't understand why, but it can't be ammended once the accounts up and running.

Unless someone can suggest a better option, you'll have do what I did; delete your account and start again. Personally, I find the £6.99/$9.99 a month to be really worth it.

I cant see the owner bothering with all that. From what I've heard it's just kept going as a side thing and he's not interested in updating it.

An invite function would help as opposed to word of mouth as it is..

Fan sites sending people here on other soc networking may help, like goth amino, the sh*t that is arsebook, goth meetups, fetlife maybe?

Plus the geographical list for the UK is a bit crap and could do with upgrading its not the way the UK segments really..

How would thag invite be sent? You'd have to give the site your persona info. It would be much better amd quicker to send the page as a link on whatever chat your friend uses.

I'm sure there are workarounds for any privacy concerns..

A lot of mobile apps fail if they are too niche.

Vanilla Umbrella is still going its mostly free (its non vanilla lol)

Some sites will let you quote this website in your profile as well..
