Ghosts

I’m listening to a podcast about the 1984 movie Ghostbusters and apparently Dan Akroyd, who wrote the script and starred in the film, was a firm believer in ghosts and the paranormal. This has probably been well-known for a long time but I’m just finding it out. He wasn’t the only one attached to the movie who believed in ghosts either.

Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen one or had a paranormal experience of any kind?

Yeah Akroyd use to host that one paranormal show I can't remember the name of. I used to into the paranormal stuff as a kid all the way up until I was 12 or something. I'd go to the library and read all the books on it. But I don't believe a lick of it now. Still like horror and paranormal movies though.

I don’t think they are either but I’m sure someone here must believe in them. I do know that “I ain’t afraid of no ghosts” and also that “bustin’ makes me feel good.”

The idea of extra-dimensional anomalies is probably closer to something plausible, whether it's layered realities or time displacement.

However, I believe that if anything paranormal exists, it is purposely not revealing itself to me because it knows if I did see it for real (whatever it might he) then my entire outlook would change in the knowledge that there is more to all of it than I once knew.

I suppose it is the same as blind faith, you have to be a believer in your religion for that religion to work. If the magical icon of that religion showed itself as real then it would no longer need belief, the cheat code is played, and the way people follow their religion also changes. Potentially breaking the game.

I've lived in 2 different places where I've had things happening that I couldn't explain. I don't care to elaborate rn though.

Do you attribute those things to supernatural forces or do you think it’s possible there are explanations for what happened that you don’t know about yet?

The youtube channel The Why Files have some of the more compelling evidence of paranormal and or supernatural activity. He also explains how said activity could be possible, or he debunks it, depending on the subject. He doesn't believe in ghosts though, despite his own personal story about a sleep paralysis who violated him sexually.

Also, Dan Akroyd had a story about being visited by The Men In Black right after wrapping up filming on an early 2000's series about aliens. The show was canceled the next day by the higher ups, despite having just spent the money and time to film every episode.

Both....

There's one theory that some "ghosts" are just trapped energy in an environment where something horrible happened to them. They call that the "Tape" theory. They have no sentience.

Mine, in both environments, had sentience, they could clearly think, respond to certain things. I'm really into the paranormal, especially after the second set "hauntings" happened in my life.

Speaking of that, have you or anyone else here had time to go through the alleged UFO files the Trump administration just declassified? And is there anything of note in them or is it just the latest distraction from the fact that the president is a pēdophile räpist warmonger who is destroying the world economy?

I full on believe in aliens, so I didn't bother going through the files. I did come to the very recent conclusion that a lot of UAP sightings the last 50 years were probably our military testing out tech we got from aliens. Average citizens were making anti gravity tech in their garages in the 50's or 60's there's no way we haven't perfected that now. The why files episode about what happened to people who've built their own energy systems was fascinating.

When I said "both" in regards to that question I just meant, it could've been supernatural, or the supernatural could have an explanation, but it deals with soemthing we don't fully understand yet, like quantum entanglement. Basically either supernatural or explainable, but that explanation is, in itself, super complex and possibly the secret to the universe type s**t.

... if that makes sense.

If aliens want to secretly observe life here, who cares? UFO photos are like rare bird photos. You look for a few seconds and then move on. There isn't a lot more to say than "ooh pretty".

Like OMG the US government is finally going to show the world some crazy holiday snaps from a few years back that were too outrageous to show at the time!

Anything to distract from another fail.
