Other countries bills

Other countries bills

I saw a YouTube video on things people pay for that other countries don't pay for.
In my experience Scotland dont pay water bills but their council tax covers it. England and Wales average just under £500 costs.
Wales and Scotland don't pay the basic prescription cost in England which is £9.90 per item.
Southern Ireland health care is more like Americans costs.
The one that i had no clue about is Americans pay for basic banking! I have a few accounts, don't pay anything, even no charge for an authorised overdraft, sometimes you can get charged interest on an amount over £250.

What do people pay for or get free in other countries that amazed or shocked you?

We do have good water and its owned by the state. Theres more water in Loch Ness that the whole of England and thats just 1 loch so I would be a bit raging if we paid loads of it.

No banking charges and we dont pay tuition fees as students so our student debts are much lower.

We pay a higher band of tax though than england on our income tax
