No no no, not sleep dreams, dreams of grandeur, a path in life to fulfillment of a thing you want to do in life.

Did you or do you still have dreams to pursue? Did you give up? still pursuing? or achieve your dreams?

You didn't have any?
Oh you did, - You gave up didn't you?

I think I gave up? It’s hard to tell these days. I’m only getting older and it feels like doors are closing behind me pretty loudly now.
My dream has changed, and faded over the years. But right now it’s not really even a dream. My dream of grandeur is to stay for one more day. And tomorrow, if tomorrow comes. It will be to stay for one more day. Until I either wake up, or my dream ends. Whatever happens I’m doing my best.

I’m in my final semester of grad school for my master’s, so I haven’t given up on my dream yet. I’ve been in aerospace manufacturing for almost 22 years, and to be honest I’m not exactly sure what comes next from a career standpoint. My degree is in military history, so many of the jobs I could have potentially looked into were in government, but with the DOGEbags running rampant, I’m sure there will be fewer of those opportunities by the time I’m ready to change careers. I always headed down this path without a clearly defined end goal, sort of waiting to see what kind of opportunities might present themselves and what connections I might make. I think I’m still in the process of figuring it all out, but for now, I’m only really focused on my thesis research and composing a 75+ page paper on superalloy development in the context of WWII jet engine production in Britain, Germany, and the US.

My dreams have become more well defined, since I really embraced the mindset of not succumbing to any form of traditional path. I don't want to be defined by societal expectations or norms. That's been freeing for me. I guess that's all I wanted to contribute.

There is still a flame along with some new dreams.

This is what the dream sounded like https://youtu.be/k5zaU4hCyG8?feature=shared

I achieved mine at 17 but a bad decision ended my dream at 19. That is a part of my past I no longer share as a way to keep myself forward.

Other than that I am still going strong for the biggest goal of all in my life along with returning to native land. I can't ever quit despite how far I came since then.
