One time on pof... I messaged someone who had a very basic generic profile "I like having fun with friends, going out, staying in"... that sort of nothing info. So I fired off a few random questions, trying and find something I can work with... and not only did she respond but she angrily responded, accusing me of sending her a copy & paste message. (That's what you get for putting in some effort).

Well I said it wasn't, and if she actually had something in her plain profile I could have brought up I wouldn't have had to pull some random questions out the air. Funnily enough, if she wasn't triggered she probably wouldn't have responded at all. Like... I'm just messaging to to tell you I'm not messaging you!

The lip filler pictures provide unintentional comedy, when the top lip juts out so far it casts a shadow that looks like a pencil moustache that George Orwell would have been proud of. I can't help chuckling at it, and I make no apologies.

The "just ask" thing as has been mentioned, to me it reeks of entitlement in that they feel they're above having to put in a bit of effort. Everyone else can do that for them. Nah.

The stock clichés annoy me as well, the ten-a-penny rubbish like looking for "my lobster", "my last first kiss", "my best mate who I fancy the pants off" or "someone to match my energy" (whatever the f**k that even means).

And, I hope this doesn't come across badly, but one gargantuan red flag for me is when there's a list of mental health issues and not much else in the profile. I'll bet my mortgage there's a lot of "self-diagnosis" going on here and trying too hard to be "individual". It belittles the subject of mental health, I worked in the field for 18 years and it quite frankly pisses me off to see people trying to use mental health conditions as personality quirks. It is, of course, healthy to be open about the subject but this is glorying in it and using it for "wannabe f**ked up kid" kudos which is anything but helpful. There isn't much of this on mainstream dating sites but I've seen a fair few profiles on here like that. It's not a good look.

Dogs are alright depending on the breed but they're just too needy. The barking is annoying as well. Plus, I've never known an out of control cat to rip someone's face off. It'll just give you a swipe and hiss and never come near you again.

So in a way i have NO idea what i'm doing? so i have some old school notions of how things work, yet in a way "although confused" try to keep an open mind. I mean i've always been of the opinion that these things are made over time? YES love at first sight is a thing, but to me these things grow and become.

The cat thing makes no sense. There are certain breeds of cats that are Hypoallergenic. Mine for instance.
I've met people who I know are allergic and I have fur on my clothes from them lying on me just before I left my house and they don't even notice.
