No, but I know I was lucky to have good, loving parents who were never too overbearing about anything. Being a parent now, I cannot, for the life of me, comprehend why anyone would ever be abusive to their child. I know I’m not going to get everything right, but I’m never going to intentionally do something that would hurt my child.

@Gru sadly it's because many people are unhealthy, and think their behavior and thought patterns are normal and acceptable. Or they blame others for it. Abusive behavior in general is disgusting though, but also very common particularly among those with cluster B disorders.

I wanted to cut them off when I was younger and got kicked out of home at 17 my parents are divorced I f**ken love my dad he's awesome, I'm better with my mum now but I found out she has cancer through my stepdad so I'm trying to spend more time with her

I've never seen the wrong in doing so, if that helps. s**tty people are s**tty people. The only thing I'd suggest is to think about it at length, and if you got a therapist maybe talk it over with them, as I am no longer liscened to practice. Don't ask...

I did that on my 17th birthday. I wanted to live the lifestyle I wanted. Not gonna lie I had good parents. My head is just wired differently. I was not into cramming myself into a cubicle like anyone else. I wanted to do what my heart desired.

The path I chose may have been the most challenging of my life and the most demanding. At that time I was living on the edge, life was moving fast. The pain, and experience was worth it despite the cost. I was willing to take the chances and achieve what I wanted.
