I did think of one pseudo plausible explanation emphasison the pseudo. They showed a bag of "blues" in his case at the beginning. Bluez were typically downers back in the day, like way before '97. So maybe they were trying to show that he already had a tolerance for downers, but C'mon, can't happen won't happen.

I think they poorly covered that. They were gonna put some sort of a hard piece of idk, medical grade plastic in there to mimic his facial structure, but that's one hell of a stretch because I would think the body would reject that large an object under someones face. Also, it would have to go under the muscles too, otherwise the persons skin wouldn't move when they talked, lolol. They were getting a little fast and loose with suspension of disbelief in 97.

Not only that, I love how easy he makes the rest sound after the facial plastic part. I'll try to find the scene.

Dude... the f**king face has so many tendons and nerve endings, I think more than anywhere else on your body. Do you know how long it would take to reconnect every nerve ending in your f**king face? 😅 Apparently about 1 minute because that's how long it was in the movie.

How do you know the state of medical transplant in that universe? Go write to the director, and be told its a different time line. Not everything needs to be 100% accurate. Its not a documentary.

Uhhhhhh, for one it's what I went to college for, and I already mentioned why it's stupid as hell (stupid in a good way, but they realllllly pushed it with this one) and that concept is called suspension if disbelief. They got greedy with it in this flick lolol.
