Do you think it will be a good movie?I like the first Evil Dead and part 2,Army of Darkness is too silly for me,haven't seen the series and the remake was ok.The new one takes place in the city for a change and has a family fighting the demons.

Saw the trailer... Doesn't look promising, but it might be fun.
I liked the 2013 remake.

Well,Evil Dead 2 I saw as a kid.I was up late one night and saw it.I saw the deer head laugh and I thought they were trying to be serious and it was really funny.I saw it so many years ago and saw they weren't trying to be serious.

I really enjoyed Evil Dead Rise. A clever take on the original story, with many nods to the originals if you keep an eye out. Brilliantly done. I liked the remake but this upped the gore and felt truer to the franchise.

Any updates from others who commented here? Did any of you see it yet?

Enjoyable with some dark and bloody moments, but fnot as good as the 2013 Evil Dead, and isn't as good as Lee Cronin's previous film 'The Hole in the Ground' either. It didn't fully utilise the tower block setting, just stuck to one apartment, so, other than the lift, which they got a few great scenes out of, it could have been set in a house. There were car park scenes too I suppose, but still. Not a horror version of Dread or even Sweet Home or REC / "Quarantine"
