aarrgghh. umm... never know how to start these things; I'm not very good at writing about myself...
I dunno, I spend a lot of time pondering anything and everything, I am a master of random and not-so-random trivia, and am not your average girl by any stretch of the imagination. I love the outdoors, music, thunderstorms, and little furry animals. (I guess that's as good a start as any... ha ha)
I'm pretty introverted, but definitely not timid; I'm never afraid to speak my mind or stand up for myself. I’m a big believer in going my own way and doing my own thing, and I don’t put much stock in trends or doing something just because everyone else is doing it. I’m unique and a little eccentric and definitely one-of-a-kind. I am laid-back and easy-going, with a great witty sense of humour. I'm pretty independent and I need someone who will respect that and not get offended if I need to be by myself for a while. Other than that, I’m looking for someone who is spontaneous, low-maintenance, and honest.
I love to laugh and have a good time, and I like to get outside and DO things – walk to the market, check out live bands, visit museums and historical sites and other learny-type stuff, ride bikes, play mini golf, see a movie… that kind of thing. There is something to be said for just staying in and spending some time together though, so that can be nice too. I am not into clubbing or dancing, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you’re looking at the wrong person.
I'm in my second semester at Mohawk College for Medical Office Administration, after working for over fifteen years as a pharmacy tech. Time for a change. Other than that, each day is (potentially) a new adventure... it just depends on which path you choose to take. 'Buy the ticket, take the ride...'
I’m a big animal lover, and I especially have a big place in my heart for rabbits. I have adopted many rabbits who came from dismal conditions for the last ten years, and am a big fan of all things ‘bunny’. Don't worry, I only have two... it's not a hoarding situation or anything... ha ha. If you don’t like rabbits, or don’t think much of rabbits, well, we just plain won’t get along. I also have two cats, and I probably talk to them a lot more than I should.
As for musical tastes, mine are wide and varied... big lover of old punk/metal (dead kennedys, the clash, SNFU, black flag, dayglos, suicidal tendencies, circle jerks, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, old Metallica, Motorhead, Ramones, Slayer, etc etc etc) but I grew up on classic rock like Zeppelin, The Band, The Who, CCR, and The Beatles, and I'd be lying if I said that stuff didn't still play a large part in my day-to-day life. What else? umm... the blues in pretty much any shape or form, bluegrass, Beastie Boys, Cake, Father John Misty, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, motown/soul, Foo Fighters, Frank Zappa (huge fan!), Tragically Hip, classical, and a whole lot more... I'll give just about anything a whirl... almost... not big on hip hop, and new country blows goats.
I'm just living life and finding happiness in the little things... I don't believe in living in the past and rehashing life's lumps and bumps; I prefer to learn from my mistakes and roll with the punches... living in the moment is where it's at. It's pretty easy if you try… I have been known to be somewhat unpredictable and spontaneous, and I don't like to plan too far ahead. While that may not work for a lot of people, it's the only way that works for me.
I should probably mention that I don't drive, I guess. But I don't let it get me down, and you shouldn't either. I'm a big believer in public transportation and getting around propelled by my own two feet, and have been doing it all my life.
