I look younger, but I'm actually 41. And as I get older and as the world gets more and more fascist and unstable, and society is collapsing, the more and more important it is to me to find a man who shares my values.
Having the exact same taste in music isn't important to me, as long as the music you like isn't AI generated... yikes.
This is Altscene, so I guess I have to start with saying my favourite goth bands are Siouxsie, Sixth June, and Clan of Xymox. My soul is still very goth. But a lot of the music I like isn't very "Altscene-y" at all... Funk, jazz funk, jazz fusion, lots of R&B subgenres from the 60s to the 2000-naughts, even Yacht Rock, which is definitely an R&B subgenre more than anything else.
Finding a man who shares my values is a lot more important. I won't budge on my values, they literally keep me alive in the world we're in now. And my values are:
- Covid avoidance (I avoid the plague like the plague! Imagine that.)
- A deep hatred toward everyone who is in power. That includes all politicians, all billionaires, all oligarchs, and those who trust and look up to them.
- A hatred toward Silicon Valley. I'm a professor of enterprise cybersecurity. My hatred toward Silicon Valley is very well researched and thought out, and has seeped through my professional work-- my whitepapers, reports, and books.
- I'm becoming a prominent anti-Gen AI activist. I founded and lead the most punk, counterculture anti-Gen AI org in the world. That I'm certain of, because I've met the other groups in my space. I will help you free yourself from the planet destroying, human culture poisoning, livelihood eradicating, evil torment nexus if you let me.
- Yes, I am a hacker. I have written a few things for 2600 Magazine, I wrote Hacker Culture: A to Z, and I'm even in the first Tribe of Hackers book.
- I set up a website to help me look for a partner. Because dating sites are, in Cory Doctorow's words, heavily ens**ttified now. Message me for the URL.
- I love astrology.
- I live in Toronto.
- I have no kids, and now I'm almost menopausal!
- I have a really weird shoe collection. My strangest pair has 2.5 foot tall platforms and are impossible for me to walk in without help. Most days now though, I wear nice flat cozy Converses.
- My mind is very eccentric and unusual. But my heart and my sexual preferences are more vanilla than a soft serve cone of ice cream. I'm very monogamous, cuddly, averse to experimentation at this point of my life. I just got out of a totally monogamous 7 year long relationship with a metalhead I found here.
- I prefer to go to bed at 10 or 11pm. Yeah, I'm not a party girl. This is another area where I'm actually very sensible and boring.
- I'm very introverted, but I can direct a college class, a lecture, my 300+ member social activist group, or be a podcast guest with ease. If you search my name, I have been on lots, and lots, and lots of podcasts over the years.
- I love reading, libraries, eating takeout or cooking at home instead of restaurants (the plague!), PC gaming, console gaming, and long hours of very deep research.
