My name is Dagger.. yes it's a nickname. I love going to concerts, reading books, listening to good music with good company, and I love anime and video games. I sing, play various instruments, and compose. Most of my stuff is sad tho.. but I want to reach people who've been through hell like I have... I want to hold their hands while in the fire. I self-harmed for 8 years without anyone noticing.. I hid my sadness very well. I attempted suicide in February of 2015... Pretty much everyone around me knows about my severe depression now, and none of them look at me the same anymore. I don't want pity and I don't need saving either.. I just want someone to be there for me when I feel like I can't go any further..

I guess I need to clarify things here:
1. Yes I self harmed (notice the past tense here please)
2. I understand that most people view self harm as attention seeking or a cry for help.. Maybe it started that way.. but it was just to get me through to the next day and eventually I relied on it. I was ashamed and I didn't want anyone to know. I hate the world view on self harmers and mental illnesses.. Don't just tell them to get over it or someone has it worse. Someone has it better than you and you still smile..
3. I had REASONS not excuses
4. My family practically disowned me after my suicide attempt.
5. My solace is music now. It's my lifeline.
6. If you have a problem with ANY, ALL, OR A COMBINATION of anything I've said here don't talk to me. It's that simple.
