You lost me at dubsteo, but won me at drum and bass.

So I've heard. I just got a problem with one of my favorite drum machines and I don't want to buy another one

Hello Satan guy. I do not produce dubstep, just dance moves that I learned from veggietales

Well, I have a number of them, and I know behringer has a bad reputation, but I really like my RD9, 909 clone.

It has a HP/LP filer on it that you can send to any of the drums you choose, via a bus, and when I turn the filer on/off it makes that popping noise, similar to if you don't follow FOLO rules. There's more description of the problem, but lets start there.

popping noise as in the signal is clipping or like the popping sound you get plugging and unplugging a guitar from it's amp type sound ?

Definitely not signal clipping, unplugging sound for sure, or if you turn let's say you mixer off before your monitors/speakers.

Also strangely if you have it in HPF vs. LpF mode it's a louder pop. I know enough to know it's something with an internal component, like a transistor or something, I just don't know what yet.

I have a friend who's pretty good with opening up gear and fixing it, we juts haven't had a chance to get together on it yet. I'm just throwing out a hail Mary that someone here would know about it. There's one other strange detail, but let me know if if you would like to hear it

Drum machine internal component repairs are beyond my expertise so good thing you have a friend to help you out with that because any advice I'd give would based off my experience building my computer which is a totally different ballgame or in other words not reliable. 🤣
