Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none. - William Shakespeare
I would first and foremost describe myself as an optimist. I am pretty much a happy person. In my world the glass is definitely half full. I am open, honest and accepting of people, new ideas, and new experiences. I love the adventure of travel, and have gone to some countries to do charity work, and to climb. I love food, wine, coffee, music and just about anything silly or irreverent. I am most attracted to people who also share these qualities.
Although I enjoy and participate in a variety of sports, I am most passionate about climbing. People often guess that I love climbing because I am seeking some sort of adrenaline high. The truth is that while climbing and in the mountains I feel most like myself. Extraneous noise and bustling life are stripped away, leaving just the moment, and the movement. I find it to be a grounding, and spiritual experience. Combine travel with climbing and life is just golden.
I'm warm, fun, and outgoing, and love to be around others, but I also have a decidedly nerdy side. I enjoy exploring philosophy, religion, and ideas, to an extent almost on par with my passion for climbing. Even so, people seem to consider me pretty well rounded. The problem is not finding things that interest me, rather finding the time to pursue them all.
I see myself in a relationship with someone who has enough common interests with me that we can share many things, but especially a passion for climbing. I don't need someone to view the world exactly as I do. Rather, I think differences are an exciting cause for celebration. Finally, I think that the s*xiest thing in the world is an irreverent sense of humor. Laughter is a great tonic for most ailments in life.
I am interested in working toward an honest, committed relationship, and believe that friendship must always come first, and foremost.
