My self-summary
Ye gods, probably time to update this thing... mumble mumble... I'll do a bit now and sort it some other time!
First off my name isn't actually MaxSteiner, its a reference to one of the worst books I've ever read but unless you were sad enough to like Mutant Chronicles in the 90's you'll never have heard of him (and you're better off that way if you ask me!).
I'm currently self employed, providing cut price webdesign and SEO for local businesses. Sadly it isn't going all that well and I'm beginning to hurt my savings so I guess it'll be time to concede defeat and find a job one day - but not yet!
I've dedicated my life to avoiding commitment and responsibility and though justifiably proud of my many achievements in this field, think I may have to accept its time to move on...
As to the other things, well feel free to ask.
I am something, something else, and geeky
(promised someone I'd replace rubbish and a failure with something lol)
I realise that I'll probably need to change most of my answers on the profile questions, which is a bit of a bummer, I've answered hundreds of the damn things!
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to get my business off the ground!
I'm really bad at managing my time though so it's really not going well.
However time and money are running short so I'm sure the impending doom that lies just around the corner will motivate me to do something.
Wondering why I go through the motions of existing in society, when I, and everyone who knows me to any great degree, is perfectly aware that I'm not really designed for that...
I’m really good at:
Nothing at all. Not even good at anything, let alone really good!
I am however mediocre at a vast array of tasks... what a glowing recommendation, I'm great at this self promotion lark.
If I had to pick one area of exceptional expertise though... I'd have to say Tempest 2000 on the Atari Jaguar...
Edit: Recently I've been reliably informed that I'm awesome in the sack, which is probably a little bit better than Tempest 2000!
The first things people usually notice about me
Um... I guess the first thing they'd notice is Im not there, since my life seems to revolve around working and providing unpaid tech support/babysitting for friends these days...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
Darkness at Noon by Koestler.
- Always feel a bit gimpy saying this, because noone ever knows who he is, and trying to explain that they've never heard of one of the greatest writers of any generation or read one of the best books of all time just doesn't go down well....
The Night Land by William Hope Hodgson
- If I had to liken this to anything, it would be one of those eldritch tome's of lovecraft fame, that leave your mind shaken and your sanity shattered.
Set millions of years in the future, when the sun has burned out, and all that remains of humanity are the huddled millions in the final city of mankind.
When you consider this book was written 1912 it becomes all the more impressive for its scope and imagination.
Films:
Ghostbuster, Smokey and the Bandit - I know I should probably update my movie list, but these are the only two films I never have any hesitation in listing as my favourites

I really liked Scott Pilgrim recently, not sure if it can ever ascend to the heights of those other two films, but it was nice to see a film clearly aimed at me.
Music:
Le Tigre, simply because you can't ignore the energy behind most of their albums.... and shouty riot grrrrl music is just cute and funny.
MF DOOM (In various guises), The BEST rapper out there. I would infact lean towards artist as well.
'How can this be?' I hear the people exclaiming. Ok, let me put it this way. I listen to ALOT of music. And out of all the artist, DOOM is the only one who consistantly puts out albums I can listen to from track 1 all the way to the last track, without wanting to skip a single one.
Its like he's transported my MP3 to the time of vinyl, only Im not skipping tracks because they kick ass, not because I can't be bothered to mess with a stylus.
Electrocute Really liked their last album, and the new ones growing on me too! Compare this to New Young Pony Club who's first albums is one of my most played albums of all time, but whos second album is abolutely s**tE.
Food:
Um.... Pizza and fried breakfast I suppose.
The six things I could never do without
... Draw, rizla and tobacco.
Somewhat fear without them I'd quit my job.
3 more things?!?!
That's bad isn't it? Can't even think of six things I couldn't do without these days. Christ if I gave up the self medication there'd really be nothing left!
Oh wait obscure or old sci-fi or fantasy books
There, so many tags there that must count!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
A thousand irrelevant questions, a hundred trivial pursuits and how I really should be doing something - anything at all - with my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Up until recently I would have been enjoying a passionate weekend of steamy passion and mutual awesomeness.
However since I'm now single once more.... hmmm what did I get up to when I was single, lets just look at the answer on this recently reactivated account:
"Boardgaming... I know it's a bit tragic, but it's quite an interesting diversion from time to time. I particularly like seeing how intoxicated I can become and still play.
If there's not a boardgame going on I'll probably end up round a friends because the prospect of staying in for the night is too much to bare."
Wow, that sure sounds like fun doesn't it? As you may or may not be able to tell, going back to my previous lifestyle is less than appealing to me now!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Part of the reason I dropped out of University was that, rather than studying, I decided to read every issue of Green Lantern from the 60's up until the appearance of Kyle Rayner in the 90's (who sucks c**k, and killed the comic as far as Im concerned).
I didn't lose my virginity until I was 20 because I was saving it for a woman made entirely of Ganja...
I’m looking for
Girls who like guys
Ages 21–40
Near me
For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I'm only really here for the tests...
(Thats what we're meant to say to look cool and disinterested right?)
If you're in the same area as me and are looking for a date - I could probably be persuaded, hell if you live somewhere exciting/exotic/elsewhere I could be persuaded too - definitely didn't date enough as a teen so it'd be good to catch up
