My name is Ian, I'm 30, and I'm single!
I decided to give this online dating a go, as I don't know about you, but I've found trying to find "the one" in a pub late on a friday night quite a challenge!
I'm a genuine guy - I'm not one of those on here just looking for a "free ride".
I suppose I should tell you a little about myself; well, I'm 6ft, have reasonably long hair that used to be blonde, but a drunken experiment with friends and hair dye means it's now black (and, if I'm honest, I quite like the change!), and brown eyes.
I'm not going to lie or hide it; I have a bit of a beer belly going on right now! I discovered the joys of real ale a couple of years ago, but have recently (last month!) started going to the gym properly to try and tame the beast!
I also have a couple of tattoos of my own design on my arm. I am slowly filling in the top part of my arm how I like, but I doubt I'll get any anywhere else, as I need to be able to hide them for work

So, that's the physical aspects out of the way - if you're still reading this, then you're one who doesn't just judge the book by the cover - and that's a plus in my eyes

Musically, I have quite a broad taste, however I'm very definately not into generic pop music.
If I had to pick a favourite genre, it would be rock & metal, but I do listen to dancy stuff quite a bit - and I'm famous for my "cheesy playlists"!
My three favourite bands are, in no particular order: Pink Floyd, B*Witched & Nightwish.
(Told you it was a BROAD taste!)
As pretty much every man, ever, I quite like cars. My father and I are currently restoring a classic American muscle car (although we've been doing it for 3 years now...) and I'm forever tinkering, either repairing mates cars, or out enjoying the sun with the roof down!
I also ride bikes, but not as often as I used to - I think there are just too many bad drivers (and riders) out there currently that make the risk a little too high :/
I'm also a fully qualified yachtsman, and try to get out on one of the warm seas (med, carribean, etc) at least once a year. I absolutely love sailing, and cannot recommend it enough to anyone!
So, with hobbies now out of the way, I guess that just leaves goals and aspirations...
Well.. I've always said my ultimate goal is just to be happy. I know it sounds corny, but it seems to have served me quite well so far!
I've pushed hard in my career for the last decade and I've now got to where I'm happy to stay, so have been working on sorting out that work / play balance. I reckon I'm getting there now, which is why I've decided to find that one bit my life that's missing - someone special

Well.. that's a bit of a novel.. but if you're still reading, and would like to know more, or just have a chat, send me a message

Oh yeah.. I also have a long hair Jack Russel named Barney. He's a knobhead. Friendly, lovable, cute, but very definately a knobhead
