I am a proud nerd. And I can nerd out about the following
I work in IT. I like gadgets that have a practical use.
I like cars, both the internals of engines, and the cars themselves. I only really drive fast when I am on my own.
I have been known to tread the boards, and am quite good at it.
I like games. I have done for nigh on 40 years. But these days I am more interested in the stories they are trying to tell. Like Cities Skylines I should be interested in, but it pales in comparison to something like Frost Punk, because there is a narrative there that you can latch on to.
I like gardening, and have something of a green thumb. Or at least I have a greater than 50% success rate with the things I plant. And am still in a quandary about whether I am happy that wild rabbits come into my garden, vs the fact that they may eat anything I plant.
I like food. I can cook. When dining out, I am looking for value, in the sense that, I am happy to eat from well known burger restaurants, or more high end establishments. What I mean is, if I drop £100 on a dinner, I want the meal to taste and feel like I got £100 worth.
I am a liberal and on the left wing. I like talking about politics, and yes everything is politics. But I don’t think taxing the rich is the solution, or at least not the whole solution.
I also rarely take selfies, or have pictures of me with people. Most of the photos and the contents of my online presence are to do with cute wild animals, or interesting plants, boiler saga notwithstanding.
My humour is drier than the sahara, but often it is when I am not trying that I am funniest.
I am looking for the perfect person for me, which is different from the perfect person. The one who has some of the interests in the above, with whom I have chemistry. Oh and someone who does not talk through whatever we are watching, especially at the theatre.
Oh and here is a sample playlist
