i don't even know where to begin. there's definitely a few core things one should know about me.
1. i'm a music freak
i can't say i'm the biggest music nerd, but i'm the biggest one i know at least. my taste in music is pretty diverse, but in all honesty it pretty much comes down to electronic, rock, metal, and each of their subgenres really. i'm a huge fan of prog metal bands like haken and dream theater, progressive death bands like opeth and edge of sanity, melodeath bands like ne obliviscaris and mors principium est, and so on.
i'm also a big fan of indie stuff, basically the lesser known the better. emo like michael cera palin, midwest emo like american football and tiny moving parts... i could keep going, but that would take a while.
2. i'm an indie fan, in more ways than music
i'm also big into indie animation stuff like helluva boss, tadc, and bigtop burger, games like undertale, deltarune, pony island, and hotline miami, but especially games and music.
3. i'm a computer nerd
i've been big into games ever since i was young, getting a ps3 around 2011ish, and always fiddling around on the family computer. naturally, i took the path of going into computer science when i found out that was a thing halfway through highschool, and i'm planning on going to mcgill after i get my dec in cs.
also, yeah, i really don't look particularly interesting or "alt," but you can thank my lack of fashion knowledge combined with living with a genuinely insane conservative mother for that.

i'd like to think that i am more alt of a person than i seem. i believe what i believe, i don't like to like what everybody else likes, i like to form my own opinions based on my own findings rather than blindly believing what i'm told. i'm big on individuality and being your own person instead of being like everybody else. hasn't gotten me too far in life, but the principle is more valuable to me than that, and i'm also a man of principal as well.
