A traditional date is usually too tense, with two people acting on their best behavior and trying their best to *sell* themselves to someone they might be attracted to. I'd rather go hang out with someone and get a few drinks so that everyone can just relax, be themselves, and have fun. If when hanging out, two people realize they get along great and have that *spark*, awesome. But if not, they continue to hang out afterwards as friends. I can never have enough of fun people to hang out with!!
