Professional drummer and all-round music lover! Currently in two bands and also teach drums. Got a degree in English Language and Literature that I guess I will never use. Ha!!
My first band plays original songs all over the country and has a large following within the streetpunk scene. We did our most recent performance at The Dublin Castle in Camden Town; the birthplace of the English ska band Madness which I absolutely loved. At the moment we are recording our second album. My second band plays covers, focusing on punk, ska, mod revival and new wave covers from the late '70s onwards.
Looking to meet and talk to people who are into music. I also wouldn't mind meeting that 'someone' down the line. You can come across a lot of fake people within the music business. And I am getting kinda fed-up of doing sell-out performances at legendary venues on my own. I am lucky enough to have friends, family and drum students support me. But it would be nice to have that extra person cheering me on in the crowd. Never really had that sort of genuine support before. Music is my life and it would be great to find somebody to share that with at some stage.
Although being a musician is a massive part of my life, I am incredibly modest and down to earth. I take pride in what I do without having the ego. I hate egos within bands and would push to sack somebody who puts their self-importance above the music. Music for me is about having a good time and allowing for others who come to see you have a good time.
I am into all sorts of music; punk, rock, metal, new wave, mod revival, et cetera. Not really tied down to genre but jazz is sort of pushing it. Ha!! On top of that, I am also into gaming, photography, tech and making content for my YouTube channel. Also trying to get into shape and look after my health a bit more recently. I do not smoke, drink (except on special occasions if I am not driving) or do drugs as it has never interested me. I do however like my food so that is always a balancing act.
By the way, a lot of people ask me whether my hair is naturally grey. It is naturally grey. Ha!! It run out of colour in my early 20s. A lot of people take the piss out of it while the rest say that it looks really cool. Either way, I have not dyed it in ages because I had a reaction to a Schwarzkopf dye which seriously put me off. I am who I am.
