As you have probably guessed by looking at my profile I love 'Vicwardian' (Victorian/Edwardian) styles and the stories of eccentrics and explorers in these times who travelled the world bringing back extraordinary tales with them.
I also have a lifelong fascination with the way people alter their bodies and minds which include having studied anthropology of medicine and religion, worked in the piercing industry, collected a variety of unusual body mods and learned how to practice acupuncture and its related Chinese manual therapy.
Some other things I like: blues and percussion based music; owls, especially barn owls; animation, in particular stop-motion and anime; creative, imaginative people; dark or surreal comedy like Douglas Adams, Monty Python and League of Gentlemen; mythology, folklore and tales of alchemists, hermits and sages; reading; the enduring curiosity to continually learn new things; cooking; tea; daydreaming.
