I love to read and write, mostly high and urban fantasy. I really admire the storytelling styles in anime/manga, especially the gothic and magical girl genres, so they've influenced my writing quite a bit. (Basically, all characters' clothes must be cool. Well it's more than that...but seriously.)
Now for music (yes yes, the looming topic of doom
) I'm infatuated with symphonic/melodic metal, and Jrock—especially Visual Kei bands such as Versailles. A longtime hobby of mine is writing songs, either about my own characters or what's known as fanrock (yay trock! Timelord rock, that is). And random oddments~
Huge language nerd here. My major is Japanese (hajimemas**te!), and even more eccentrically, I create languages for my fictional races. It's fun!
Cosplay is awesome. So is art. (I'm not perfect at either yet, but I'm getting there.) And so is fanart, and fanfiction, in fact.
Avatar: the Last Airbender is the best show ever, followed closely by Phineas and Ferb.
I love sewing and crafting. One of these days most of my wardrobe will be handmade by me, I hope.
Randomly: Any fans of Jillian Venters (Gothic Charm School) out there? Just wondering, since she's a rolemodel of mine.
And a couple more notes--
I don't feel like I have a whole lot in common with 'mainstream' christianity, but I am a christian and it's very important to me to find someone who also cares strongly about the christian faith.
Also— Ideally I'd like to meet someone currently attending UCLA (where I attend school), but it's not a requirement.
