Hi I’m Richard. I guess people would describe me as a fun, genuine, a good listener and a little bit geeky.
I have a caring nature and always go out of my way to help others, which is why I enjoy working in the public sector (well at least I do at the moment but with all these cuts it’s a little scary!)
My first and foremost love is music and dragging my friends to gigs of bands they've never heard of. My favourite bands / artists include: Ryan Adams, Laura Marling, Muse, The Walkmen, Raveonettes, British Sea Power, Tom Waits and David Bowie.
Over the last couple of years I've developed a fondness of trips to the theatre, sandwiched between good food and late night drinks. I particularly enjoy making the short trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon to take in a good old Shakespeare play.
However, if there are no gigs or plays to see, there's nothing I enjoy more than films, tea and duvet days. Lord of the Rings aside, I'm not such a big fan of blockbusters as my tastes lie with the quirky, indie dramas (Ghost World, The Life Aquatic, Brick etc), comedies or a good thriller (especially anything by Alfred Hitchc**k.) I'm currently enjoying the Mad Men and Curb Your Enthusiasm box sets.
I also read lots of comics...that's my geeky side!
I like to take walks in early mornings and late summer evenings when no one is around and I’m a little fond of the moon.
Above all I cherish spending time with my friends as I value their honesty, understanding and loyalty.
So what am I looking for?
Someone who is intelligent, enjoys film & music and can make me laugh.
Or, if I'm being specific: a red-headed Irish girl, who can play guitar and is willing to sing folk songs to me.
