Hi, I'm probably a sensitive soul who has retained his individuality despite the 'slings and arrows'. I'm someone who finds easy acceptance of convention a little bit tiresome. I suspect that a slither of juvenilia is far healthier than the daily intake of multi vitamins, I guess these two 'attitudes' are not mutually exclusive?
Frequenting the local cinema is pleasurable, I also enjoy strolling to cafes/bars, restaraunts etc. The railways often deposit me in a city where a favourite band is performing. These activities do not require me to own a pair of walking boots - though I appreciate both a gnarled tree root and inner city graffiti. The local park is quite spectacular, makes me muse eternity?
I'm an avid reader: novels, philosophical meanderings and political commentary. CD's and Vinyl continue to pile up arround me. It's highly probable that the 'arts' are as close as I get to having a belief system - aesthetics?
The possibilities of language excites me, the electricity of certain colours excites me - as does the sharing of food, red wine and stimulating conversation, a few giggles never too distant. I very much enjoy a glass of American whiskey, a cigarette and a side dish of wistful pondering.
I'm drawn to certain aspects of gothic romanticism, I believe the symbolism can be very playful. Seriousness and playfulness have their place, I'm thinking that sensitive individuals read the temperature correctly more often than not.
It would be wonderful to share 'crossover' interests and enthusiasms, I could easily list my favourite: authors, recording artists, films, colours and ponderings etc. I figure that all this and other 'stuff' will emerge in conversation, it would be very uplifting to have 'that' conversation.
