I wouldn't label myself as a "goth", "metalhead" or whatever as I'm interested in most areas of alternative culture. I listen to all guitar-based rock music, from indie to extreme metal, but also have a general interest in most other popular music styles, including blues, folk, pop, soul, hip-hop and dance. I mainly express this interest by attending gigs, going out to rock clubs in Leeds and by being heavily involved with my university's radio station (I hope to pursue a career in radio or music promotion after I graduate).
I'm currently studying for an MA in Philosophy of Religion (having previously completed a BA in Philosophy). My interest in the subject stems from my love of intelligent and engaging discussion about a wide range of issues (usually, as is quite fitting for a student, in the pub
) and my desire to gain a deeper understanding of the world we live in. As my current degree title suggests, I have a particular interest in discussing religion and spirituality; I am personally an atheist but consider myself to be very accepting of other beliefs and am always seeking to increase my understanding of them.My friends would describe me as being thoughtful, considerate, responsible and dependable.
