My friends describe me as fluffy in the head and ridiculously funny. I'm quite accident prone, often say highly inappropriate things for comedic value, have a short attention span and am a bit of a hippy in that I value people and experiences over possessions. I am shockingly bad at making decisions and finding my way to strange places, love people watching, am fully house-trained and know my way around a kitchen.
I love anything vaguely 'Arty', can play the piano/keyboards (quite well) and ride and ski (both rather badly). I'm more indoorsy than outdoorsy, but love traveling, exploring new places and experiencing new things.
What I’m doing with my life:
Having recently moved to the North from London, I'm on the move once again to another shiny new city even further North. I'm currently working on a Social Media project for people with long-term mental health problems, additionally I am a freelance arts & entertainment writer/web-editor.
I’m really good at:
Walking into/falling over (or up) things
Giggling to myself after having random thoughts that amuse me
Using Google instead of having to think
Washing up
Turning frowns upside down
The first things people usually notice about me:
Me getting my coat pocket caught on the door handle? Me walking into the door because I pushed instead of pulled? Me tripping over their bag? I could probably go on like this forever...
Books: I mainly read trashy spy novels and cookbooks but am also quite into Bill Bryson at the mo. I will pretty much read anything I find interesting though, from the classics to Hunter S. Thompson.
Movies: I tend to view movies for escapism and like anything with action, goofyness, cuteness, or street dancing. I'm also well into indie films and world cinema.
TV: You can see what I watch on getglue.com/roomoo
Music: I love different stuff depending on what kind of mood I am in. I certainly couldn't function properly without it. I love anything that is interesting, takes me to places in my mind, or makes me want to bounce. You can see bits of what I'm into and makes me dance like a six year old at my best friend's birthday party, high on blue smarties, at: last.fm/user/roobedoo
Food: I have a sweet tooth and love cooking and eating out. I'm down for just about anything except for shellfish, hooves or offal, olives (unless they're in something) and aubergines.
The six things I could never do without (in no particular order):
My family & friends
Internet
Mobile
Laptop
Humour
Life
Other things i like include: beanbags, warmth, piercings, bubbles, art, lego, tats, learning, sunshine, thoughts, holidays, anything sweet, insomnia, the sky, my duvet, familiar smells, glass, old stuff, small boobies, laughter, friends, feelings+emotions, reading, food, voices+accents, the sea, alone time, festivals, family, diversity.
Dislikes: plastic people, animal print, insincerity, shopping, politics, thongs, religion, big boobies, spiders, ironing, feet, wargaming, sharp fruit, wearing clothes, sleep, decisions.
I spend a lot of time thinking about:
I don't spend much time thinking about anything in particular, as I am a bit of a scatterbrain. That said, I hate to see suffering and I do spend lots of time wondering what can I can do to make the world a nicer place to exist.
On a typical Friday night I am:
Probably having a sleepover round my best mates' house.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit:
A ladybird once poo'd on my hand.
I was quite into Bros way back when.
What I am looking for:
New friends, long-term dating and activity partners. I am hoping to find someone comfortable in their own skin and happy to share their life, their insecurities and their hopes and dreams with me. Someone who is creative would be a bonus as would someone who has things they are passionate about, no matter what those things may be.
I don't exactly have a type, but guess I would click best with someone who is into the arts and definitely into music in some shape or form. That said, I am very easy going and find people interesting for who they are not what they are.
Really looking forward to getting to know you better, whoever and wherever you might be. Thanks for reading this far. Roo.
