Current business administration and nursing student working full-time during the evenings at a resident home for the developmentally challenged.
When I'm not working or (attempting) homework I'm usually in the yard/garden, cleaning, doing the laundry, or cooking lunch/dinner for the next few days, all the while listening to a variety of music or re-watching my favorite movies.
If I have (absolutely) nothing to do, then I'm watching a movie(s), the ones I've seen multiple times (and don't care), curled up between my kitty and puppy with a good book and a hot cuppa tea, or playing video games. (I confess, I am a closeted nerd.)
I will confess, I am not the slimmest girl, but since the beginning of this year I have been working on myself. I joined a gym, I changed my eating habits, as well as my diet. With the weight loss, my self-esteem has grown more and I feel better everyday. Which is worth walking out of the gym with cherry red cheeks and my hair a mess.
I'm really good at cleaning and organizing. I apparently have undiagnosed OCD, not sure if that's a good or a bad quality. That is, I am not super crazy when things are a mess, but more a long the lines of keeping things tidy, is better said of this quality.
I'm a very good cook and baker. Not to say that I have a lot of time to do so, but when I get the chance, I make the house smell good and stomachs growl.
I'm very artistic. Every year I decorate the house with Halloween decorations. I can transform the front yard into a spiderweb covered grave yard with a skeletal pirate waving hello from behind the shrubs.
I have an artistic background as my grandfather taught me how to paint with watercolors and oils, as well as with pens, pencils, ink and chalk. I like to color in adult coloring books, I especially like mandala's. I also do freehand work, but not as much as I would like.
Books: I read a lot, it's my favorite activity. My favorite books are Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Pride, Prejudice and Zombies (lol), Generation Dead, Kiss of Life, Passing Strange, Sitches, Cut, Twilight (Before it was cursed), A Silver Kiss, Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter, Ghost Girl, Interview With A Vampire, The Vampire Lestat...I could go on. (Manga, too)
Movies: I like a few: 12 Angry Men, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Blob, Dracula, The Count of Monte Cristo, Shawshank Redemption, Rocky Horror Picture Show, CryBaby, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Coraline, Sleepy Hollow, Pirates of the Caribbean, 007/Bond Movies, Jason Borne Movies, The Book Of Life, Hitmam..and I could still go on. (Anime, too)
Shows: Doctor Who, Sherlock, Penny Dreadful, The Twilight Zone, Law & Order, Gotham, Call The Midwife, Bones, Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad, Once Upon A Time, Suites, The Night Shift, Orange Is The New Black...and so on.
