I am Catholic; I assent to all church teaching and am practicing Catholic. I am a metalhead; I listen to and enjoy multiple genres of metal. The more intense and the more deep, the better. An ideal metal song would be dark; not afraid to deal with the struggles of life. It would be intense; it would be full of energy, emotion, meaning, and experience. It would be engaging; it would move me to relate to the struggle and identify with it. And it would be positive; amid the darkness there is beauty and hope. For this reason, Virgin Black and Morphia are my favorite bands and they helped me get through many difficult times.
Hence, I am a sign of contradiction, an anomaly, one who completely fits in with nobody, a weird blend of two very separate and different realities, that of Catholic and Metalhead.
I am looking for a woman who can relate to this.
