I figure that I should get this out of the way first since this website only has two gender options.
I identify as non-binary and my preferred name is Charlie. I do not conform strictly to one gender or the other and I am very content with that. (Sidenote: I listed myself as gay because I generally present as more masculine/male leaning. Thus "a gay man". (But biologically female)

I am a 22 year old Psychology/Criminal Justice student who lives in California. My music interests are there off to the left. I'm a rather shy person both on and offline, it just takes me a little while to warm up to people. I like traveling, reading, writing, researching, watching Netflix, playing video games, going to beaches, arcades, museums, or the movies, and I like to collect things. I adore things like Rick and Morty, Dexter, The Twilight Zone, and such of that nature I'm also super into vampires, I have been since I was 13. (I LOVE The Vampire Diaries, sorry. Also Underworld....and The Lost Boys...)
I don't necessarily hate a lot of things. I don't like brussel sprouts, no matter what you do to them. I'm not a fan of horror movies. At least not ones with a lot of jump scares. I'll watch like B-list movies and really old 1950s horror, maybe the occasional Nightmare on Elm Street or something but horror's usually a no go. I'm also not a fan of messages that are just, "hey". Add some substance and/or emoticons, makes you seem more friendly. I don't care for country music and math is the devil.
I'm mostly looking for friendship with like-minded people but maybe there will be that certain someone that I click with (I hope.) I have my types, but really, if you're pretty to me then you're pretty. (A lot of people tend to be out of my league anyway.) If I do find someone I would hope for it to be someone who's caring and understanding, empathetic and of course shares the same interests as me. You may have to have good patience as I can be frustrating at times. I'm sort of pessimistic but I'd like to think I'm a good person when you get to know me. Writing this out shows how bad I am at describing myself, so I apologize.
I don't really hand out my social media unless we get to know each other and I like talking to you. I'm also just bad at responding to things in general and I already know I won't be checking this site as often as I should. I am also generally rather nervous to message people first sooo...you might be the one doing that. I primarily like to communicate through Kik, which is easier than messaging on here. But again, not something I hand out easily.
That's about all I can think of for now. I hope I live up to standards.
