As I write this I do so with hands slightly bruised from a horse tugging on a leadrope, tired from working in the outdoors all day with an autistic 28 year old. I just finished watching the film Bad Neighbours which I thought was pretty hilarious and I am doing so in the house of my neighbour who has been letting me stay in her beautiful house just behind where my horses live while they are away on holiday and I insultate and put a burner in a room in which I plan to live.
I'm a boundary pushing, opinionated, passionate and caring soul who strives to help everyone in my path from two-leggeds to animals. My life is an exciting at times chaotic roller-coater ride as I follow my calling to rescue and rehabilitate ponies and teach horseback yoga. I also practice reiki, have indian head massage in my repertoire and used to work in the world of PR, a whole dimension away from the life I live now.
So what's my life like now? Well, it revolves around the three loves of my life - my rescue horse and two ponies, Shamrock, Shambles and Honey so most of my friends have gotten their hands and feet dirty thanks to me. I am also responsible for a yard on which a total of 7 horses currently live.
I'm in the midst of setting up a healing centre and holistic livery (I don't expect you to know what that means) and I have been doing this whilst also attempting to build myself a home in the outskirts of Bristol - Long Ashton. However, I'm not your typical horsey type (which by now you may already have guessed) and have a wide range of interests from writing, reading and crafting to dancing and drawing and more recently light S&M.
I do have high expectations of myself and by default, that tends to also extend to any partner and I am looking for someone who is going to support me in my endeavours to spread light and joy in the world. Ideally someone who sees spirituality, kindness and compassion as essential for the wellbeing of themselves and those around them.
I am converting what was a traditional livery yard into a peaceful haven where horses are given the freedom to roam instead of being cooped up in stables and where peace and happiness reign. This is a considerable challenge both financially, physically and emotionally and one that excites me each and every day and I'd love to meet someone who is equally as passionate about life and what they do.
For me, music is food for the soul and you can expect to find me grooming horses on a sunny day with drum n bass or Birds of Paradise or Underworld or any number of incredible artists. I'm rambling now.
This all sounds pretty serious and I'm not the serious sort except when it comes to my mission in life which I am truly grateful for. I'd love to hear about yours...?
