I live on acreage, off the grid, in the bush. Suburbia is not for me. Trees recharge me, concrete drains me.
I'm hoping to become as self sufficient as is possible. I'm planting food, which is a start.
I'm not materialistic and status symbols don't impress me. If I do make purchases, it's because I need the item. I'd rather something I can use on the garden, than a gold bracelet. You can eat the bracelet, it has no practical use and it won't add to your life, really.
I do like books that I can learn something from. Books don't require charging, or plugging in, either.
My sense of humour is completely intact. I do enjoy a good hearty laugh. Tears streaming, sides aching and the soul is uplifted.
I'm not cut out for McMansion life. I don't watch TV and like to have space around me. I would rather sit around a campfire, talking with the people I love and care about, than be in a shopping mall. I like plants and dirt, not bitumen and plastic.
If I could, I would live in the wild, in an underground sod house, foraging and hunting. For now, my bush acres and food plants, will do.
I don't think "green bags" and "recycled TP" will save the planet. Green bags are polypropylene and recycled TP is still getting flushed. I have a composting loo and try to get my goods (what I can't grow or make, myself) from markets. I would prefer if there were similarly minded folk, in the area, that I could barter or trade with, for goods. Alas, there aren't, so markets will suffice. If I could I would rather have a horse / donkey / ox and cart.
I have two children. One is an adult, who has left home. The other, is my teenager, who studies from home. Yes, home education. I prefer to teach my child to think for themselves, and not just blindly follow orders. "Sit down", "Shut up", "Gold star".
If you don't share the same views, I'm clearly not the lady for you. I'm sure, if you keep scrolling, you'll find a lady who is.
I'm not here for cybers*x, a "hook up", or to help you have a fling. I won't send you money either. Sorry, but they try.
