I hide it. The depth. Because.
For a guy who's thinking all the time, I struggle to think of what to say about myself, besides that I am a lucky father of two daughters (ages 6 and 9) and I'm a software engineer. It's hard to describe me from your perspective, since I have no idea what translates from my inner world to everyone else.
Here are some observations about me, from my point of view.
I'm smart. I'm very introspective, and I'm very easygoing so long as 'things' are going 'well.' This means I have an idea of how life *should* be, what people around me *should* strive for, particularly: peace, teamwork, speaking respectfully to one another, truth, depth, lightheartedness, love, clarity, sincerity, patience, fun, passion (yes, the physical kind, absolutely), equality, justice, enterprise, dreams, goals, family, values, good-personhood.
I need someone to be with, just talk. I need someone to make love to. I need someone to cuddle with, someone to pet my belly. I need someone to watch Hulu/TV/a DVD with.
I'm looking for friendship. I'm looking for love. I'm looking for a lover. For me, those things can happen independently of one another, and in any order. If I'm left to my own devices, I'll commit to my lover, because I'm loyal by nature. What I really want is to find "the one," my partner for life. It's okay though, if you want a "relationship for now," as opposed to a lifelong commitment. I'd just prefer to know your intentions early-on.
I write software. I work for a privately-held corporation, as well as the government / Department of Defense. There's a lot to me, but some of it takes a long time to show. Some of it may never show. It depends largely upon how much you want.
I like looking up at the starry night sky. I appreciate awesome views, the awesomeness of the world we live in. I like big things, big ideas, and people who are big on the inside. Love, I guess, is my favorite thing. But there's lots more to love in this world, in addition to love itself.
I want to buy a house. I want to find my special someone and choose our home together. I'm looking for someone who will grow to love my daughters as a mother should, over time. I'm open to having another child or two with my future counterpart, but I don't necessarily need that. Really depends on her (your) desires, and how we both feel.
Movies/television: I like action, sci-fi, can watch romantic comedy with a girl (lol). I do not like anything with domestic anguish (cheating, spousal abuse) or women getting hurt. That stuff sets me on fire. But I can deal with high body counts in action movies. Not into ultra bloody stuff or horror. Exciting, fun, romantic, intrigue is cool. Evil stuff, not so cool.
I enjoy a variety of music. Not a big fan of angry or venomous rap, or sad country. I like positive music most of the time, but on occasion I'll tune into something more aggressive. Depends on the mood, I suppose. Music speaks to me. If I like what it's saying at the time (matches my mood), I like the music, basically.
