Hi, I'm Dakota. Here's a brief rundown of who I am and what I do. I'm a bohemian, liberal, secular-humanist, atheistic skeptical pateron of the arts and sciences. On top of all of that, I'm an Asperger autistic who enjoys reading, writing, drawing, painting, comics (mostly Marvel: X-Men), cartoons (with a little bit of anime thrown in), British TV (Doctor Who and Red Dwarf) going for long walks in a natural setting, having deep scientific/philosophical discussion about 42 (if you catch that reference then you're right up my alley).
In some ways, I could be considered a nerd, but in other ways not. I'll let you decided on that matter.
As for my hobbies, well, I mentioned some of them, but I'll go into a little more detail. For starters, I'm an X-Men fan (favorite characters are Cyclops and Phoenix). I'm also a Whovian (my favorite Doctor is the Fourth Doctor/Tom Baker). I'm big into science, especially the fields of paleontology, biology, evolutionary biology, genetics, medicine, and theoretical physics. When it comes to art, I'm specialize in Western comic books styles and paleoart (the scientific depiction of prehistoric animals). Plus, I am a huge dinosaur fan. I practically love anything to do with dinosaurs (except Land Before Time, though I do give the animation a lot of credit). I like both Star Wars and Star Trek equally well, though I don't care much for Star Trek The Original Series.
Hobbies I'm interested in doing with potential dates would be cosplaying, art projects, and other related things.
Music for me is mostly classic rock with a few new things (like the band Train for example), but my absolute favorite band (and in conjunction song) is Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody). Unfortunately, I absolutely hate country music and rap I can tolerate to an extent, but not much. I have no musical talent whatsoever, but I can sing a little.
Books, pretty much anything nonfiction or science fiction. Don't care care much for fantasy or supernatural themes (like magic, vampires, etc.).
Movies, I'm not much of a movie watcher but I do like comedies, sci-fi (wow, big surprise there, lol), classic horror (think silent films and the old Universal monster run) and cartoon movies.
Cartoons, Ed, Edd, n Eddy is my favorite (and if you're wondering, if I was Double D I wouldn't have a problem with Marie Kanker Attacking me, lol). I like both Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon shows fairly well, but favor late 90s and early 00s shows more due to growing with them. Plus, I do like some anime like Last Exile.
