Jeremy Inkel is an electronic music producer. He is best known for his current position as keyboard player and programmer in both Left Spine Down and Front Line Assembly. He is also a freelance recording artist by trade, and can be heard on many releases of his genre.
His career began at the dawn of the new century, armed with little more than a synthesizer and a drum machine, playing underground 'rave' gigs both locally and nationally as Binary Holocaust. The project had taken on various incarnations, appearing both in regular and leetspeak (according to wikipedia, an alternative alphabet for the English language that is used primarily on the Internet. It uses various combinations of ASCII characters to replace Latinate letters. For example, leet spellings of the word leet include 1337 and l33t; eleet may be spelled 31337 or 3l33t) on various promotional adverts. While Binary Holocaust was Jeremy's first active electronic project, a physical song is yet to be officially released.
By 2003 Jeremy co-founded Left Spine Down with kAINE D3L4Y and Matt Girvan. Their like-mindedness for punk rock, electronic music and a desire to impact the masses on a global scale brought them together, playing both headlining gigs as well as opening for touring acts in Vancouver. After beginning work on LSD's first album, "Fighting for Voltage" with Chris Peterson, Jeremy is welcomed into Front Line Assembly in 2005, co writing and producing the full length album "Artificial Soldier" released in 2006. The album immediately hit the Billboard charts at #13 and peaked the DAC charts at #1.
FLA then brought Jeremy (as well as LSD alumni Jared Slingerland) on tour for Artificial Soldier, (and the quickly followed up remix album Fallout) touring worldwide for 2 years with the group, and co headlining various festivals such as Mera Luna, Summer Darkness, and Amphi Festival, playing along side bands like Nitzer Ebb, Bauhaus, Apoptygma Berzerk, Bloc Party, VNV Nation, The Killers and many more.
He was also in the lineup for FLA to play in Russia for the first time. It was during these tours with FLA that Jeremy was able to introduce the world to his other band, Left Spine Down, via the means of their "Smartbomb" EP released on Synthetic Sounds, a managment company/record label he helped build with Mark Sommer. From there on Jeremy was engulfed in the rock n roll lifestyle, balancing between bands and jumping from tour to tour. He even, at one point, stepped off the tour bus to play in both bands on the same night, when LSD opened for FLA in 2007.
2008 and 2009 saw Jeremy and Left Spine Down garner much attention from the industrial music scene, opening for acts like The Genitorturers, oHGr, and The Birthday Massacre, and most recently the Revolting c**ks' North American LUBRICATOUR with Jim Rose, Blownload and Left Spine Down as guests. It was then when Jeremy began a working relationship with 16volt's Eric Powell, offering his services on their new album "American p**n Songs" ("To Hell") and co-ordinating LSD's appearance on the mammoth North American MIDI GHETTO TOUR, which consisted of 33 shows in 35 days with 16volt and CHEMLAB in Spring of 2010.
With this much fervor and drive Jeremy has proven to be a strong asset in the electronic music scene, as his stylistic sounds, atmospheres and beats bring forth a unique personality to the projects he contributes to. His career already shows a lot of potential, appearing on so many releases in barely a decade, making his sonic mark wherever he goes.
In 2009 Jeremy returned with Front Line Assembly co writing and producing the new full length album IMPROVISED ELECTRONIC DEVICE, and the single SHIFTING THROUGH THE LENS.
The albums were released in 2010 . As a result of Jeremy's experiance touring with The revolting c**ks, Jeremy managed to inlist teh talents of non other then the legendery Al Jourgensen to co produce ,mix, and do vocals for the track "stupidity",alnongside them guitar player and singer for 3 inches of blood, guitar player Justin Hagberg.
