BLACKWATER MARK

Hi, my name's Mark. I'm an old school metalhead who was lucky enough to experience the music revolution that was MTV during its' infancy (thank goodness for Headbanger's Ball). I love everything from some of the more cheesy L.A. hair metal bands that were a staple on MTV, but I quickly transitioned to, and was blown away by the birth of the Bay Area thrash movement and that naturally lead to expanding to the East Coast thrashers too. I'd have to say my all time fave is Slayer (R.I.P. Jeff Hanneman). I do listen to some mainstream music, but not much. It's hard when nothing you like is EVER on the radio. I do have a steady job but my schedule is upside down as I work late night to early morning, but my days are free so that's cool. I still go to the metal shows that happen to come to the smaller venues here in Houston. I'm not a big fan of the Woodlands, but I still see some pretty brutal shows. Most recently and notable were Summer Slaughter (Goat***** ruled that place), King Diamond was fantastic, and Opeth/In Flames was almost spiritual. I'm on this site because I have NEVER in my daily life (or dating life for that matter) met a woman who even remotely shared any common interest in music with me and I think it would be very cool to meet someone with whom I could have more to talk about than just the weather. I'm not a skinny man, so if that's your type sorry, you'll have to keep moving (or give it a shot and maybe my personality will make up for it). I'm divorced twice and I have a 9 year old son. I'm no longer a 420 participant, but it is no concern to me if you are. I kinda wish I could, but circumstances dictate I no longer partake. I like to have fun in lots of ways besides music, but with great metal in the background almost everything is just that much better. Despite all this, I do know how to be romantic. I am generous and I do listen to what you have to say and I remember important things and the small things too. I don't think casual hookups are really all that cool, so I'm not looking for anything like that, so if you're interested in something that could start as a friendship and maybe grow in to something more, then please send me a message.
