Been listening to punk since my Dad got me into the ramones, The Jam, The Clash, Sham 69, The specials (i know they were ska!!), but especially The Jam (i consider Weller and Pete Docherty/Karl Barat to be the greatest lyricists the UK has produced since Lennon and Mccartney), anyway, after Nirvana faded away, and id got sick of listening to Bd Religions "suffer" on loop for 3 years or something,then the dam burst with Dookie, Smash, Out come the wolves, Punk in drublic etc, id found a new punk that my dad couldnt get his round, but it f**king spoke to me, even the more pop bands, blink etc spoke to a guy on the other side of the pond!!
Then came the Libertines.....Oh sweet Jesus, what to say?, although not strictly punk they brought that do it yourself, aggressiveness of early The Jam records had, and living in London at the time, i went religiously to every gig they did, even the so called "guerilla gigs in peoles houses etc, Karl Barat even drew my Libertine tattoo for me
Anyway, since my last relationship of 10 years broke up, i think i learnt that i couldnt live with someone with such different tastes in music, fashion, and general attitude to life, and i just fiund this place, so im hoping to talk to some like minded girls, punk, emo, indie, alternative
