Greetings! I am Tom, a friendly but shy and thoughtful Aussie living in the UK. I love history, literature and heavy metal, hence why I came to these shores some years ago. I will frequently travel somewhere to see the castles, museums and stately homes and would much rather head to a traditional pub than some cheesy nightclub. Sadly, though, I am usually by myself...
At home I'm listening to hard rock an heavy metal (Iron Maiden, Opeth, Metallica, Katatonia etc.) watch a lot of science fiction, war and anime films, and my bookshelves, which I keep needing more of, are a mix of sci-fi, classics and travel guides.
I have no car at present as I don't need one and its so expensive to drive here, though its a long-term goal. I have, typically for a metalhead, long hair and a goatee which is so long its a very decent braid now!
Despite all of this, I've become used to being a bit solitary, I'm quite happy travelling solo, and sitting by myself in a pub with a book and a beer...
