Well, besides contemplating the quirkiness of life, I love finding humor in everything on this screwed up blue world of ours. I provide for and love my 3 kids (8, 14, 16), as well as enjoy; writing (working on a novel I'm hoping to publish sometime next year), movies, reading, live theater, listening to music (classic rock from the 70’s and 80’s for the most part, some 90's, techno/electronica and classical- no rap or country, and I shamelessly adore Lady Gaga), outdoor activities (camping, hiking, fishing), reading, watching sports (football, mostly), roller coasters, cooking, science fiction (yeah, I confess, I like Star Trek and Star Wars) and television (not much into reality t.v. but I do watch the History/Discovery channels. I also like "House", "Caprica", "Bones" and "Glee"). I'm quiet at first but once we get to know each other I really open up. I also have two cats (Sebastian and Samantha) and a turtle name Fred so I love animals. Yes, I am Hispanic, but it's by accident of birth and not by nature or cultural bias. In other words, my Spanish is bad and I'm not big on the whole machismo thing (I've been confused with Middle-easterners so I had to put something down). I believe you can be a man without acting like a jerk. I'm looking for someone who would be my intellectual equal, who is willing to share themselves, their thoughts, and who is not afraid of speaking their mind. She must have an open mind and be able to see the humor in life. Though I am well aware we all have problems and leftover hurt inflicted by others, I feel that it is possible to heal and to start again. I am not looking for shallow people stuck on themselves, high maintenance barbie dolls, alcoholic bar-flies, exercise addicts, party-girls, nor anyone who has a huge chip on their shoulder. I think people of that sort are immature and BORING! I'm not looking for a quick roll in the hay, that may be great for some but not me. I'm looking for someone who takes relationships seriously enough to show respect for one another. I'm not into Nascar (go fast, turn left, go fast, turn left...), motorcycles or big, motor powered toys (ever notice that guys like that have a better respect for these things then their women?). I don't do drugs (except for prescribed ones AT THE CORRECT DOSAGES AND WITHOUT ABUSE!) and I have all my original parts with the exception of two wisdom teeth (I don't know why, but it seems important to some people). I also would like to talk on the phone for a while before we meet to see if you are really who you say you are. I'm looking for someone who will be honest with me, share common interests and be good at conversation. I seek someone with ideas and thoughts and who is willing to express themselves and be themselves. I don't embarrass easily and my life is an open book so you may ask anything you wish. I don't play games and I don't like being taken advantage of. I really would like to find someone I can spend time with and with whom every day will be a new experience.
