I work as a programmer and manager of programmers at a life insurance agency in Roseville.
My favourite pursuits are creative ones like writing, music, DIY, etc. I enjoy board games, programming, and walks in the woods. I participate in a foraging meetup. I am debt-free and always have been. I'm willing to watch sports with you, but I could really get behind giving you an audience while you speed run a classic platformer. Geek and nerd attributes are bonuses in my esteem.
My silly divertissements notwithstanding, I am serious in my ambitions for both career and relationship.
I hope to start a masters program nearby in Computer Science next fall (2015). I just got my GRE results: perfect scores on both math and reading... not perfect on the essay portion. But I'm pleased even so!
Honesty, loyalty, and a willingness to communicate are important to me. I aspire to a relationship that leads to marriage, but I don't intend to rush into anything. Let's get to know each other. I'm looking for someone responsible. Someone who is kind to everyone.
Quirky things about me: I'd like to visit Iceland because, apart from natural beauty and geothermic energy, I appreciate that their language has not changed appreciably in passing 1000 years. If I ever get the chance to live in a castle, I'll take it. I've never had déjà vu.
Health is important to me. I enjoy hiking, but I prefer short (less than 10 miles) hikes. My favourite hike has been across England's Lake District. My exercise of choice, however, is a brisk walk and light weights while listening to a recorded lecture. (My current lecture course? The Joy of Mathematics.)
