I'm about average height & weight. People tell me i'm not that bad looking, in spite of grey, receding hair and glasses. Quite fit, active & healthy for my age, and am something of a night owl (don't like mornings!)
I retired early from my job as an IT operations manager to be carer for my mum, who sadly passed away in 2011 at 86, consequently have been off the dating scene for quite some time, but now feel it's time to get on with, and enjoy, my life. Love travelling, especially cruises. Hobbies include walking, reading, tv, photography, sci-fi (especially Star Trek movies), cricket, billiards & snooker (also a qualified international referee).
I also love music of various types, from classical through to heavy rock. Amongst my favourites are: Hendrix, Stones, The Who, Joe c**ker, Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, Kate Bush, Adele, Smiths/Morrissey, Tom Waits; in classical: Grieg, Holst, Wagner, Smetana, etc.
I am not usually very exhibitionist, but I DO confess to having a soft spot for karaoke. Whether I'm any good is for others to judge, but I DO love to sing on stage, especially power ballads!
Whilst I think that marriage is not essential, I am very romantic and tactile, and love to stroll with partner holding hands, and to stroke her face/arms/hair.
