My self-summary
"I was sitting at home and had a profound experience. I experienced, in all of my Being, that someday I was going to die, and it wouldn't be like it had been happening, almost dying but somehow staying alive, but I would just die! And two things would happen right before I died: I would regret my entire life; I would want to live it over again. This terrified me. The thought that I would live my entire life, look at it and realize I blew it forced me to do something with my life."
~~Hubert Selby, Jr.
For one, i am not defined by my profile... i refuse to be categorised as anything but a renaissance man: i can teach, learn, .. i'm kind to a fault, Artsy-Fartsy writer, mixed media culture-jammer looking to rule the world... or is that too much to ask? Usually found roaming the streets in vintage clothes and a happy-go-lucky personal atmosphere... i am into all things that have to do w/literature, punk rawk, new wave, modern art, and anything that i can get my hands on before people begin to jump on the bandwagon... i am seriously into radical politics, especially anarchy and communism... anything else, please ask: i am terrible at asking questions...
i have two daughters that don't live w/me: one is eleven and one is three... they are both the apples of my eye, very sweet and smart as whips; i see them every other saturday and sunday afternoon... my one vice is soccer and not only do i back Sporting KC but Chelsea FC, which is a team in west London... i love photography, making movies, and going to cultural events like the Nelson-Atkins, the Kemper, and local shows, especially Rockabilly... i'm in the process of getting my tattoos finished tho it isn't a priority since the ones i have came out so nicely... i drink lots of coffee and when i do i tend to talk someone's ear off...
if i could write the lyrics to "Girlfriend" by Matthew Sweet, i think i could get my point across better... but you can look it up on youtube, right? i like too many bands found throughout the the world, but mostly sticking w/ eclectic genres, as well as the modern stuff: i'm an old-school punk rawk kid who hasn't grown up completely...
if you're looking for laughs and genuine conversation that tickles your brain, i am the one; and i'm big headed enough to say that... i want a smart/intelligent woman to get in touch w/me, to intrigue others as surely they will intrigue me and make us both laugh... i want you to be the center of attention; sometimes i come across as conceited or arrogant but that is far from the truth: i rarely suffer fools gladly but would follow like a puppy dog someone honest and strong, someone sure of themselves and isn't afraid to disagree w/me: in the end that is what i consider as the greatest compliment to me, that you actually take a stand on opinions and tho we may disagree on some things, we respect each other's position (tho i will still kid you about your idea that a zombie apocalypse is on the way,haha)... true love can be found where you least expect it and hopefully i didn't give the love of my life the finger while in traffic...
all in all, i'm tired of the games, the padded profiles, and the failure to look beyond pics... sure everyone wants the perfect partner, mine just has yet to show herself...
you should really take a chance on this goofy, hipster doofus, vintage wearing, most interesting man in the world... original cat of the sesame bun... (whatever that means)....
remember: "nothing is true, everything is permitted."
~~William S Burroughs
"life should not be a journey to the grave w/the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'wow! what a ride!'"
~~Hunter S Thompson
“What strikes me is the fact that in our society, art has become something which is related only to objects and not to individuals, or to life. That art is something which is specialized or which is done by experts who are artists. But couldn't everyone's life become a work of art? Why should the lamp or the house be an art object, but not our life?”
― Michel Foucault
