the things in life I couldn't live without are science/nature/animals [rock] music, mostly classic 60's and 70's rock like led zeppelin or Thin Lizzy, but also newer(ish) stuff like Nirvana and Rage against the machine (I'm also getting more into metal at the moment), I also play electric guitar. I love going for walks and exploring new places, I definitely prefer outdoors and the countryside to indoors and the city.
At the moment I'm volunteering in conservation which is great except for the lack of money but hopefully it will lead to something more in the long run. At the moment my work involves a lot of planting trees which is fantastic as its very satisfying knowing that you are putting something in the ground that may still be there after your dead.
I am an atheist and have been a vegetarian for 4 and a half years. I am very laid back like easy going and like to avoid arguments and conflict as much as possible (I've only got one life and I'm not going to waste any of it yelling at people) but I am very passionate about certain subjects like science (I find it amazing that people find science boring when science can be applied to virtually anything). I think that almost anything can be made interesting if looked at in the right light or in new ways.
My favourite book is 1984 (although my favourite thing I'm reading at the moment is The Song of Fire and Ice series which spawned the Game of Thrones tv series which is great too), my favourite film is either the Shawshank Redemption or Fight Club depending on what sort of mood I'm in and my favourite tv show is The Wire (generally I prefer drama like The Wire or Breaking Bad but I also like comedies like Fawlty Towers, Dad's Army or Father Ted). I like watching some sports (tennis, ice hockey, football) but don't take it too seriously. I have a degree in psychology and would like to work in conservation.
I also enjoy board games and are currently trying to design my own board game.
