Initiated in the timeless art of plant medicines, Yarrow has traveled for many years into the far reaches of North and South America connecting to the sacred essence of Great Mother Earth to heal, guide, and train in organic ways of healing body, mind, and spirit. His story is one of finding grace in the life force through honoring the shared essence of all creation, both the light and the darkness…in a time where many do not recognize the divine blessing inherent in their corporeal form.
Born with powerful empathic abilities, the cultivation of a deep and profound connection to the Sacred Feminine was an intimate part of Yarrow's childhood years. Yet, with this beautiful gift came the unfortunate realization of the great disassociation the Western world has had to connecting with Mother Earth and the Devic Spirits of sacred land. The severity of the neglect and abuse of the natural kingdom developed into a powerful source of sorrow and disillusionment for Yarrow who’s internal struggle to remain authentic to his roots was continually challenged by the collective amnesia.
During his youth Yarrow was blessed with a deep resonance with the indigenous culture, lineage, and traditions. The respect for Mother Earth and community seemed a far cry from the disconnection Western society suffered from nature. Rites of passage, where one learns to connect with creation through coming of age ceremonies, had been completely abandoned in contemporary society leaving his natural propensities to healing and spirituality no healthy avenues of development. His ancient spirit felt alone, abandoned. With no one left to turn to and a lack of support from the community, Yarrow suffered an immense disassociation with his body leaving him to wonder in fractured darkness for many years to come.
At 20 Yarrow left the states and entered into the vast jungles of Peru. Spirit guided him through the luscious green and into the sacred circles of ancient ceremony and natural medicines. He first studied under the tutelage of an elder ayahuascero Don Julio. Slowly the darkness began to shed from his form, and in its place grew a resurgent connection to the spirit of the plants, the lands, and ancestors. Yarrow continued to work for several years with Ayahuasca, the great Feminine medicine spirit of soul healing and nurturer of the jungle, using this sacred plant as a medium to learn the deeply seeded wisdom of the Jungle. The Ayahuasca allowed Yarrow to release much of the pain and suffering endured in the body, and reopened his gifts and magik by safely grounding the empathic currents into his heart source. For the next six years he endured a continual process of transmuting darker unbalanced energy from the body into concentrated expressions of healing and nourishment to share with the collective community.
During his travels which included ceremony and training with healers upon sacred land, Yarrow has learned and integrated several beautiful techniques of energy and plant healing into his sacred path of service. His path is a story of embracing the darkness, the fear, the doubt, the pain of one’s life…surrendering deeper unexplainable mysteries of our connection to source…only to find the inherent light embodied in all of creation. Yarrow's process involves allowing the heart to work as a transmutation vessel, alchemically altering unwanted energies and blockages into resurgent expression of light.
In this age of inclusion, it is profoundly important we do not cast away or hide from our shadows. From the ashes of that which is unbalanced within is reborn great sources of awakening.
