💧 If you know what video game this is from then this is where half of my spiritual belief came. Some people thought my spiritual writings were a rip off of this video game's concept but the really funny/spooky thing is I didn't know about this video game till a year later after I made my spiritual writings lol and some people tried to look up my spiritual writings to see if I copied and pasted someone's else writing online and wrote that as my own/twisted the narrative. Lol okay that's really weird that someone admitted to do that/sending me a message that he looked up my spiritual writings to see where the resource came from my topics inside the spiritual writings. That's just really crazy man and people wonder why I keep myself so secretive. I can't believe he admitted that he did such a thing though haha.

☔ It is said that human sacrifice was once practiced throughout this region.

Rather than returning people to the water upon death, the ritual involved placing so-called "pillars" in special reliquaries and sending them to the water while still alive.

It was the role of shrine maidens to become such Pillars. They would take on the memories of the dying, and thereafter return to water themselves.

In doing so, it was believed the subjects would continue living on as Pillars.

In Japan, there was once a sect of Buddhist monks who would inter themselves in boxes buried underground for the sake of enlightenment. These monks were said to show they were still alive by ringing bells and chanting.

This practice may be related.

But what did the maidens who became Pillars fear, or hope to appease?

There are various teachings in Japan about where the afterlife, also known as the Netherworld or the hereafter, is located.

Some teachings say it is above the mountains or across the sea, where others claim it lies underground, within the very earth itself.

Here on the mountain, it is said to lie within the water, implying a close link between water and death.

The Pillars within the reliquaries would be in a place close to death, but would go on living.

Perhaps it was the special reliquaries that allowed them to evade death and continue living, frozen in time.

It is thought that perpetuating these Pillars allowed those close to death to live longer lives.

In a sense, it was believed that proximity to death helped develop a resistance to it.

🌻 Those ready for death would gather at the mountain and return their lives to the water.

Water connects everything.

To look at this scenery, I can understand how it has become a spiritual place: a place fit for passing from this world.

I'm glad I came here.

The people on this mountain have a yearning for death. That is to say, they have a yearning for water, and a yearning for nature.

👀 Life and death are both connected to water.

The water is life, and in death the soul must return there.

People came to the mountain to "return" their souls to the mother that gave it to them.

To "die a proper death".

The belief that dying in the mountain's water was somehow "proper".

This shows a strong yearning for nature itself, with death as just another part thereof.

🐺 Shrine maidens were put in these reliquaries to protect the locals by appeasing the "Shadowspring".

This "Shadowspring" served as a bridge to the Netherworld.

In other words, beneath the water, the source of all life, exists the underworld.

The "Black Water" came from the underworld itself and with it came disaster and ruin.

The border between life and death was faint in that place.

The shrine maidens were said to take on the memories of people who came to die.

This seems to be similar to the spirit channeling seen in other parts of the country.

To take on the memories of the dying is to share in death.

The maidens glanced people's souls as they died, taking their secrets as they were sealed in the reliquaries. The shrine maidens became one with the water to connect with the people they glanced.

The shrine maidens ferried people to their death, via the water.

Final message to users:

Also I'm moving my very long profile to my photo albums by leaving a comment on my profile pictures because my account has been reported twice/been on hold twice. Since many people don't understand how to view more photo albums the task is really simple. So to see my profile pictures you click on my profile picture that is shown when you view my account. You will find comments about my last account how people were having a hard time understanding what Autism is and some people thought Autism means Borderline Personality Disorder and Schizophrenia. So I made a lengthily explanation of what Autism is etc and I also did explain about myself as someone with Autism and the personal struggles, Another issue that I had on my last account that got way out of hand there is a comment about that, extremely abusive messages from my last account and my stance on aggressive users on here. Before you troll and insult my profile, how about you take a look at my comment section in my profile photo albums before saying anything? I'm sure the person that reported my account twice is the one I said I look crazy in my profile picture. Which had zero effect on me because I've been bullied/made fun of all my life because of how I look and how I walk and you can read more on my blogs etc but besides the 10 people in high school that liked me, the whole entire school made fun of my facial features and mimicked how I walked etc. But like I said to read more than just those two things I got several details what went on etc on my blogs. So idk why people even do this to people still in this day and age. Do people honestly even ask what the person has been through in their life at all? No, at least not in my case. Nobody has asked me what has happened in my past life and decided that was okay to send verbal abusive messages on my old account. Also my physical appearance and the way I look does get me a lot of stares when I'm out grocery shopping etc. Some people and some people's kids do long stares are glares like looking at me and the people get even more freaked out when I look at them and smile at them when I know I'm being stared at. Also just to let you know I'm not wearing anything weird or anything that grabs attention because all I'm wearing is black pair of leggings (no the black pair of leggings aren't really thin and I never will wear revealing clothing anyways) I also will wear for shoes wise you can normally see me wearing these items. Most of the time I'm wearing athletic sneakers or sandals and of course a shirt or layering an outfit with a tank top. But one of my friend's online (not from here) she says that people stare at me a lot because I look different. Which my honest opinion she does have a valid point because people wouldn't be staring at me if I didn't look weird. I remember several years ago in my teen years when my mom was alive she did tell someone to stop staring at me at the mall and that she should take a picture because that last longer lol (however she didn't say anything and went back onto shopping haha) and another memory I've had and this hasn't happened ever again but this kid hid behind her mother's leg and I heard her whispers saying I look scary and I look like a witch. Like omg haha! Another thing you can read about I got tons of comments in high school that I look like a rodent (but if you want to know more about that story and what message I sent back to that person that reported me twice and said I look crazy in my profile pictures then you can find that information there) However just to let you know my sister that is a few years older than me looks totally different than me. But seriously guys. Any form of abuse isn't okay in real life and also not okay online. Before you abuse someone on the internet, ask them to tell them your story
