Moral stance , Earl, although I do know that despite my best intentions, no matter how hard I try, Im going to be eating, wearing, or otherwise ingesting animal substances without my knowledge. I just cant do the meat eating thing,..but.. I do prepare meat and chicken curries , and will cook meat for others,..so yeah, moral stance but very much in a quiet, keep it to myself kinda way. |

I just wanted to know if there were any on here because it would be hard for me to be in a relationship with those who don't share the same values as me. You do you guys. Eat meat. Eat dairy. I won't try to push you into anything you are not interested in. I'm happy to talk to anyone and become friends with everyone. If there are people who push you into doing something you're not into, don't talk to them. They are not a healthy atmosphere to be in. |

@Earl, bit of both really earl. You're right that it is a personal preference, but it kinda born out of a feeling for me that killing animals for food or clothing etc is morally wrong...for me..its circular, I know, but it does encompass both reasons for abstaining |

Vegan extremists are one thing, and are easier to deal with. What most people don't like about some Vegans is the smug level of holier than thou attitude they have. Just them thinking that they are better than everyone because of their choice of diet. So those kind of Vegans can't really get along with other people because they are insecure AF and think being Vegan is enough to compensate for that. |

What gets me is that in the grand scheme of things, why do we care of plants feel pain? Besides the standard with any living thing feeling pain. Who are we trying to impress by showing how "deep and caring" we are. Aside from having allergies to animal based products, being a vegan is mainly a means to feel superior or feed one's ego. |
