Yeah my only bug bear on long hair is that when riding at over 100mph I would end up with a single dread pony tail and nothing short of tying a double bun would stop it

But...even though i find long hair attractive I still have a healthy respect for the men afflicted w MPBaldness. I once dated a longhaired man ....he wasn't the type that was in the mirror looking at himself all the time. So he had begun to get a dime sized bald circle on the back where it didn't show up from the front view. The very minute he was made aware he went to the bathroom and shaved his head bald. Refused to be a combover guy.

We women tend to put so much value on our hair. But a bout with cancer is lurking in all our futures. And chemo will take your hair in a week. So it is best not to "be" our hair. Like that country singer Crystal Gayle. She literally "is" her hair. It is just too much emphasis on one trait/characteristic.
