Q Lazarus: Goodbye Horses in Silence of the Lambs. Eerie-sh yet beautiful song for a (dare say I, wonderfully) disturbing scene. Buffalo Bill had some great taste in music, which lends them a different flavor. He was so f**ked it was almost funny,,,

You guys have already named some of my favorites already (The Crow, Shoot Em Up, Clockwork Orange, Kickass, etc.) so I wanted to share some others that come to mind:

The Comedian biting the dust in Watchmen (Johnny Mathis- Unforgettable)
Scott realizing who Todd is during the Clash at Demonhead concert in Scott Pilgrim vs The World (Metric- Black Sheep)
Lenny mooning like a dumbass over Faith in Strange Days (Juliette Lewis- Can Hardly Wait)
Jet Li beats the crap outta EVERYONE in a cage fight (DMX- X Gon Give it to Ya)
Satanico Pandemonium's snake dance in From Dusk til Dawn (Tito & Tarantula- After Dark)
The boys show us what they're made of in The Full Monty (Tom Jones- You Can Leave Your Hat On)

Pretty much any Tarantino soundtrack works, he has a knack for taking songs that shouldn't necessarily fit and making them work 100%. Pulp Fiction top of the list.
And yes Strange Days, Skunk Anansie...

Looks sweet from the opening scene, reminiscent of the Mint Royale- Blue Song video...

Jack of all Trades

The Blue Song video ánd Baby Driver was both directed by Edgar Wright He basically turned his own music video in a movie.

I loved the movie, great tracks wonderfully crafted in the shots will get your foot stomping in your seat haha.

Jack of all Trades

Aug 13, 2017 09:20

I know you mentioned Crank because Mike Patton did the score for Crank 2, Trish Pretty f**ked up score if you ask me, that thing is going everywhere I do listen to it from time to time though.

My favorites:
Kickin'
Social Club
Shock & Shootout

And the most crazy tracks goes to: Chicken Scratch

Psychopatrish

Aug 13, 2017 18:13

I actually wasn't even aware he did Koos til you mentioned it a while back.

The movies are pretty much all over the place too, I'm guessing they took that into consideration when asking him to score it. 😁
